After a weekend of entertaining at home, seafood shacks, corned beef & cabbage, and richly sauced barbecued chicken, a welcome return this Monday to the bland, boring foods I typically enjoy.
Breakfast: a banana; a double-shot latte with half cup steamed skim milk; a cup of organic low-fat French Vanilla yogurt; whole wheat soda bread muffin.
Lunch: eggs & cheese (1 whole egg, 1 egg white, 1 triangle of Laughing Cow Lite Swiss), a few sliced mushrooms, a small handful of baby spinach — all microwaved in to something resembling a smashed up omelette; the last whole wheat soda bread muffin; unsweetened Lady Grey iced sun tea.
Dinner: 3 small pancakes and some maple syrup; a red Anjou pear.
My stomach thanks me.
